Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about how to list your car for sale, free car listing in Jamaica, posting rules, buyer tips, and how to sell your car online quickly and safely on MyCarListing.

Pricing & Listings

It is 100% free. We do not charge a listing fee to post your car, and we do not take any commission or percentage of the sale price. You deal directly with the buyer and keep the full amount.
Currently, users can only list max TWO cars at a time.

Safety & Privacy

We take steps to verify user accounts to ensure they are legitimate users. However, we do not physically inspect vehicles. You must always meet the seller to inspect the car and verify the vehicle documents (Fitness, Registration) in person before handing over any money.
You have control over your privacy. You can choose to add your phone number on your listing for faster sales. Currently, adding your phone number and/or email is the only means to have buyers make contact with you.
We monitor the platform for suspicious activity, but safety starts with you. Never transfer a deposit for a car you haven't seen. Always meet in a safe, public location (like a police station or shopping center) during the day. If a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

How It Works

No. We do not own, store, or sell any vehicles ourselves. MyCarListing is purely a marketplace that connects buyers with private sellers and local dealers.
No. We do not act as a middleman, broker, or negotiator. All discussions regarding price and payment methods are conducted directly between you and the seller.
Yes. Our search tools allow you to filter results by Parish (e.g., St. Catherine, Kingston & St. Andrew, St. James). This helps you find cars near you so you don't have to travel across the island just to view a vehicle.
